METABOLISM AND WEIGHT MANAGEMENT

You might be wondering how some people barely eat anything and still gain weight. On the other hand you would also find people who eat almost anything and everything and still hardly gain any weight. Much of this depends on one’s metabolic rate. If you have a faster degree of metabolic then it means that you could eat more and still not be gaining mass.

A high metabolic rate means that whatever calories you intake most of it gets burnt. As a result of which even if you eat more the scope of excess calories getting accumulated in the body and getting converted in to fat and thus leading to obesity gets substantially reduced. So in a way you could say that people who have a high metabolism are more fortunate since even if they intake more calories their chances of becoming overweight are substantially less than those who have a low metabolic rate.
